Learning PHP, AMP HTML and MySQL
To understand a tool in depth, we need to apply it to real problems. My main objective was to study how data flows between relational databases and web applications, optimize SQL queries, and learn a new backend framework by turning a personal hobby into a working application.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, what started as an online mobile gaming group grew into a structured community of nearly 100 players. To organize information and keep the group coordinated while remote activities were the norm, I built Lab L96 (lab.l96.app).
The first version used Google Forms linked to Google Sheets to feed a shared operational dashboard. That setup simplified daily coordination for the nine community leaders and eliminated hours of manual spreadsheet updates each week.
In 2023, I rebuilt the platform in PHP and Laravel at lab.l96.app. The application integrates player records directly into a relational database with an administrative panel built on Filament and a front-end structured for Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP).

Take your time to decide what you want from life, and after you decide, do not back down under any pretext, because the world will try to dissuade you. (Attributed to Friedrich Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra)
